Product description

The JD555X series SMA actuator driver IC is designed specifically for smartphone SMA (Shape Memory Alloy) camera applications. This hybrid single-driver chip is tailored for controlling 8-line SMA actuators and can independently manage the operation of SMA OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and AF (Auto-Focus) actuators.
The chip's processor core integrates gyro filtering and SMA servo loop processing units. The smartphone baseband processor communicates with the chip via industry-standard I2C and SPI buses. The driver IC supports a master/slave separation architecture, enabling real-time transmission of power/resistance data through 3-wire or 4-wire SPI buses.

Product description

The JD552X series closed-loop product is a 14-bit DAC voice coil motor (VCM) driver control solution. It features I2C backward compatibility and achieves a maximum I2C clock rate of 3.4 MHz for serial interface communication, enabling the host to control the driver and access the 46-byte MTP memory. It supports a wide supply input voltage range from 1.7V to 3.6V and provides precise VCM control position feedback via a linear Hall effect sensor according to the motor's structural requirements. Additionally, it adopts the space-saving WLCSP-6 package, which effectively saves valuable component space in smartphones and other smart devices, offering a significant space advantage.
